Telling Regional Stories Webinar Recording Now Available

What does it mean to work toward food system transformation at the regional scale? What are the benefits of working regionally? What are the challenges of working regionally?

These are just some of the many questions explored at theTelling Regional Stories: Place-Based Food System Change webinar. Hosted by the Food Learning and Growing (FLOW) Partnership with support from the UNESCO Chair on Food, Biodiversity and Sustainability Studies, this webinar explored the opportunities and challenges of building resilient, equitable, and sustainable food systems at the regional scale. This session featured regional FLOW teams based in Ottawa, Montreal, Vancouver Island (Canada), and Melbourne (Australia), who shared insights from their local contexts then engaged in a moderated Q&A period. The session also featured Anne Palmer (Center for a Livable Future, Johns Hopkins University), who brought in regional food policy strategies from a U.S. perspective. This cross-regional conversation provided fresh insights, practical strategies, and inspiration for advancing food system change for those working at the regional scale.
