Community Music Learning is a channel about negotiation – collaboration – dialogue in community music. CML is hosted by a collaborative international network of community music scholars to provide access and share learning in international community music thinking and practice. The channel emerged out of a winter school at the University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt, funded by the German Academic Exchange Service in 2020.
Collaborators include: Wilfrid Laurier University, Community Music Netzwerk Deutschland, Community Music Activity Commission, Konzerthaus Dortmund, York St. John's University UK, University of Limerick Ireland, University Hildesheim Germany, University of Applied Sciences Düsseldorf Germany.

Launched in 2007, the International Journal of Community Music (ICJM) is a peer-reviewed journal on scholarship focusing on community music in theory and in practice.
The journal also has a podcast ICJM Conversations, available on all podcast platforms and on YouTube):
Based in Belgium, the SIMM network brings together scholars examining the social impact of music making, with annual symposia and student training opportunities.
Launched in 2024, the IJMM is an interdisciplinary, English-language, double-blind peer-reviewed open access journal dealing with music mediation as a hybrid discipline in all its facets. The journal includes scholarly articles, practice reflections, interviews and conference reports.
The Participatory Creative Music (PCM) Hub is an incredible resource for community musicians, with activities, featured projects, and resources. Hosted by the Canadian New Music Network, and many resources are available in French and English.
The Canadian Community Music Database is an incredible source of over a thousand non-commercial participatory music groups across the country. Hosted by University of Toronto Scarborough, the database can be searched by location, music activity, age group, and more.
LCMC invites grad students and postdoctoral fellows researching participatory music to join us as student members. Laurier students and grad students from other institutions are welcome to apply. Your membership lasts the duration of your studies. Email lcmc@wlu.ca for more information.
