- International Day of Women and Girls in Science: Laurier students attended a UN celebration of the first International Day of Women and Girls in Science.
- NASA Mars event launch: WinS celebrated the launch of NASA’s MAVEN Mission to Mars! Our WinS director and outreach coordinator were inside the Kennedy Space Centre and shared the experience live on Twitter.
- Women and Science: A gender-focused conference at Perimeter Institute.
- Discovery Square: A community event for children in Kitchener.
- WinS launch reception: Melissa Franklin, chair of Physics at Harvard University, co-discoverer of the top quark, and the first female tenured faculty member in Physics at Harvard, delivered greetings and inspiration at our launch event in 2012.
