Research

The Laurier Centre for Sustainable Food Systems (LCSFS) is an interdisciplinary, community-engaged research centre that contributes to sustainable food system change at multiple scales by creating knowledge sharing networks and enabling community-driven food systems research. The LCSFS is an international leader in sustainable food systems research, contributing to work on Northern food systems, urban and regional innovation impact mapping, climate change adaptation, agriculture and biodiversity, community defined solutions, and city region food systems.

The LCSFS integrates research and action by using Participatory Action and Community-Based Research methods and in its innovative and arts-informed knowledge mobilization practices that prioritize community needs.
