We are thrilled to announce that Barb McPhee, a valued advisory group member of our From NIMBY to Neighbour project, is one of the people who has been honored with the prestigious King Charles III Coronation Award in the Guelph Community. This accolade, awarded on the 11th of April 2025 at the Guelph Black Heritage Society on Essex Street in Guelph, recognizes Barb's exceptional contributions to community service and her unwavering dedication to improving the lives of others in several community roles such as the Poverty Elimination Task Force of Guelph and Wellington, Guelph Neighbourhood Support Coalition, North End Harvest Market, Wellington - Guelph Lived Experience Housing Advisory Group, Food System Resiliency Table, Peas in the Pod Food Resource Group, Guelph Wellington Ontario Health Team PFAC Team and Community Voices among others.

The King Charles III Coronation Award is a testament to Barb's commitment to making a positive impact. Barb's recognition highlights her significant contributions and the respect she commands within the community.

Barb's research and advocacy work, especially on the From Roots to Home storytelling piece, exemplifies her passion for community engagement.
