Kaitlyn Ashmore
Kaitlyn Ashmore (she/her) is a MA student in Community psychology and has been a research assistant with VERiS since 2022. Her work focuses on environmental sustainability, climate justice, and fostering shifts in behavioral and mental norms towards a culture of sustainability, empowering individuals and communities to take agency in driving these changes. She has concentrated on municipal strategic planning and adaptive capacity in the face of complexity. Additionally, she is also working with the David Suzuki Foundation on the first iteration of the Cornerstone Indicators Process in Canada. Her thesis aims to explore and enhance environmental education and engagement through innovative methods. Her work aims to empower youth to take action and engage in sustainability initiatives, both in school and in the broader community. Kaitlyn shares that her work with VERiS has been extremely meaningful and provided deep learning throughout her time as a MA student.
