Territorial Approaches for Sustainable Development

The second white paper on territorial perspectives for development (TP4D) reflects on the relevance of territorial approaches in addressing systemic development and integrated solutions for sustainable development. Written by CIRAD and a range of partners, including the UNESCO Chair on Food, Biodiversity and Sustainability Studies, Territorial Approaches for Sustainable Development is a follow-up to the first white paper from 2018 which highlighted the ways in which territorial approaches are a powerful tool for improving development operations and their impact. 

Incorporating lessons learned, the new white paper of 2023 is aimed at policymakers, donors, and practitioners by offering recommendations for policy formulation, project design, and governance.
